PSHE – Curriculum information

At Townville Academy, we aspire to offer the best possible early education for all our children in a happy, safe, inclusive environment.

Through our PSHE and RSE curriculum we ensure that our children develop the skills they need to personally flourish. They will recognise that they are a valued, active member of our school and wider community. We ensure that they are prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. They will become emotionally aware and resilient, able to articulate their feelings and positively care for themselves.

At Townville Academy, we follow the Jigsaw PSHE programme which equips all pupils with relevant and meaningful content, supported through a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing physical and mental health.

The PSHE curriculum perfectly connects the pieces of Personal, Social and Health Education and moral, intellectual and spiritual development. Our curriculum design, in line with Jigsaw, offers children the ability to revisit and build upon prior knowledge so that they know and remember more whilst gaining the key skills needed to live a safe, happy and healthy life through their journey at Townville Academy and beyond.
